To keep your custom epoxy resin table looking beautiful for years to come, follow this simple care and maintenance guide. With proper cleaning and protection, your handcrafted resin table will maintain its shine, durability, and natural beauty.
1. Clean With Mild Soap and Warm Water
Mild soap and warm, clean water are a simple and reliable choice for everyday cleaning.
Use a microfiber cloth, soft cotton cloth, clean T-shirt, or paper towel to gently wipe the surface and remove dust, food residue, and everyday spills.
2. Use Glass Cleaner or Multi-Surface Spray
Most gentle glass cleaners and multi-surface sprays can be used for routine cleaning of epoxy surfaces.
We recommend using a microfiber cloth because it picks up dust easily and allows you to apply light pressure when removing stubborn spots such as dried food or sticky residue.
If you do not have a microfiber cloth, any soft, clean cloth will work well.
3. Disinfect Your Table Safely
If you need to disinfect your table, you may occasionally use a diluted bleach solution of 1/4 cup bleach mixed with one gallon of cold water.
Always wear gloves and avoid direct skin contact.
A diluted alcohol spray can also be used. Wet the surface thoroughly, allow it to sit for about 30 seconds, then wipe it dry.
Avoid frequent use of bleach to help preserve the glossy finish.
4. Protect Your Epoxy Resin Table
- Keep the table away from prolonged direct sunlight to help reduce the risk of yellowing.
- Use heat-resistant mats under hot cookware, dishes, and appliances.
- Avoid leaving extremely heavy objects on the tabletop for long periods.
- Do not use sharp or pointed objects directly on the surface.
- Clean spills promptly, especially red wine, coffee, and acidic liquids.
5. Moving Your Table
Always lift your table carefully when moving it.
Do not drag the table across the floor, as this may place unnecessary stress on the table legs, joints, and overall structure.
6. Regular Inspection and Maintenance
Regular inspection helps keep your custom epoxy resin table looking its best.
- Check the surface periodically for scratches or signs of wear.
- Minor scratches may be restored through careful sanding and polishing.
- If the surface becomes dull or heavily scratched, professional refinishing is recommended.
